Bio: Merope spent most of her young adulthood on the road. First, when she quietly left home at 16 to live with a bunch of trans-friendly hippy¹ women. This was forcibly cut short when she and 3 of her friends were kidnapped and brutalized by a group of young male blood mages. She survived, barely, but had to move back in with her family while she recovered. After about a year she ran away again, despite—perhaps even because of—the risk. For a few years it was liveable, but soon her chronic illness caught up to her and she had to swallow the bitter pill that this life isn't sustainable for her. Now, she's trying to settle into the Southeastern microstate of Serdika. It's not going well.

Bio: Divna was born in the village of Vasilevo, where a small isolated community of blood mages dwelled. She never quite fit in as she was deemed too soft and weak. After having had enough of the village's brutality and, unfortunately, engaging in one such act herself, she made a run for it. It didn't go smoothly and she spent most of her teen years with her powers blocked. Now as an adult, she works at a service station at the edge of town and lives by herself in a decent apartment originally owned by her grandmother. That is, until someone convinces her she ought to take in a particular flatmate.

Bio: He is a servitor unintentionally created by Divna when she was young. Named itself after the Bulgarian khan, due to his being known in Bulgarian pop culture as that one ruler who made a cup out of his enemy's skull. He is the embodiment of barely-held back rage and violence. Likes mice the way a cat does.

Bio: Divna's friendly demon coworker. Possesses the ability to create time loops, mostly uses it for petty reasons. Addicted to drinking petrol and motor oil. Very, and I do mean very, loosely based on Jeremy from The Strangest Security Tape I've Ever Seen.
